Whilst removing the whole handbrake assembly off of the hub i snapped little piece of the metal off on the part the the cable goes into that separates the shoes,

Does anyone know where this part is from at all, or what the assembly may have also been used from?

Is the bit you broke part of the fitting kit?

If so then the above is what you need but if not do you have any pics you can post to show exactly what has broken?

No don't think its in the fitting kits, as its technically part of the car, as it shouldn't need replacing, its the part the the cable nipple goes into, which is made up of two parts with the part need shown, the bit that has snapped off is about half inch long, and straight and you can see where it has broken off from.

I believe the part is called the show anchor, i had a look at jeep grand cherokee parts but can't tell, i'll wipe the wheel of my jeep and have a look, that or i'll get a second hand one.

Following cerdad's identification of the shoes, I'd be down the scrappy looking for a Peugot 605 as the 'show anchor' may well be the same.

Anyone know where you can source this item and also the adjuster that separates the bottom of the shoes? You can buy new handbrake shoes, springs and pins and backplate but i cant source these items.

Very Close, Saab 9000

Crank very different though, not sure if TVR modded it?

I have bought a second hand hub for the parts as i need the backplate too,but it would be good if we could source replacement items for the adjuster and the handbrake cable actuating mechanism.

BMW E9 looks close but the important "tab" is missing.
Maybe the Saab part showed above is the one.

I found this: Saab partNr.: 90496947
