Alright folks.

I think I have a problem with a bad connection on my loom. I am planning to run a fly lead from the sensor to the ECU to rule this out.

The sensor connections are like these seen here

I need to buy a few female crimps and a few male crimps like the ones shown. Where would I be looking for these and what are they called if I was to start searching? Crimps of some variety.

Thanks.

Why not just buy them from the ebay seller ?

Previously I would have reccomended M-Cal for such things, but it seems their prices have tripled since last time I looked.

These guys still have them at respectable prices.

Ebay seller was just a picture I found, but I haven't acturally checked what else he sells.
That listing though is for the connector n all, I just want the crimps.

Thanks for the link though, I'll check it out and the eBay sellers other items (doh!).

Vehicle Wiring Products and RS Components both sell them (the latter sell the parts individually, and a whole 'kit' ends up a bit more expensive than from VWP).

Also try Polevolt
They sell the whole range as kits or individual parts.
Pins are about 13P each if buying small numbers.

Also be aware that a lot of those crimps come in different sizes. So make sure you're getting the correct ones. We have loads but I don't know what ones you would need.

I used these people -> http://www.thetoolboxshop.com/superseal-connectors...

You need the crimper as well ideally.

Looked at the sizes of the male space connections today as I knew there were different sizes. They appear to have a 2mm wide spade to them. I'll see how this matches up against what is for sale.

As for buying a crimping tool. I have one for the red blur yellow crimps, but I'm guessing that these are different! I'll see if the bodge fixes the car first and then look at doing a 100% job if and when.

Pop into the workshop if you're in Fareham and I can show you the crimps and connectors.

Hi Steve,
I turned up to your open day a while back with Hobzy in a VX Turbo, so know your whereabouts. I have had a thought that I am going to try before the connectors, but I think I'm on a hiding to nowhere.
Thanks for the offer.
