Hi Folks,
Has anyone ever had any dealings with the above, i.e has anyone bought a new set from Burlen fuels ?
I bought a set for my XK 120 and I`m having problems with setting them up and wondered whether anyone has any experience of this ? apparantly there was a batch of "faulty" ones

I've not had a problem at all with mu H8 SU sandcasts. They perform faultlessly. Pretty easy to set up, but they had new moulds made a year or so back and perhaps there is an inherent problem now? CKL (Barry is the guy) could probably give you some help. He is known as Boswell on here. You are in Kent and they are in East Sussex (near Battle) so not far away, so why not make an appointment and get them to have a look?

We had this on a C Type replica. 3000 revs plus at which point they conked out. Changed the needles, originally set up for a 240 I think, and all was well.

No problems since.

HTH.

Thanks for that boys,
I`m taking them back to Burlen fuels this week so that there technical dept can have a look over them, my mechanic seems to think that theres something "missing" on them, i.e they wont adjust properly, (they wont lean up enough) anyway, if i have any problems setting up when i get them back and on the car, i think i`ll call CKL, as you mentioned Tony, to let them have a look and see what they can do.
Thanks once again lads

Took them back to Burlen today, they spent all day looking over them, they have put new updated "stay up" floats in as opposed to the brass ones that was in there, and also new jets, lets hope they`ll be better now when i`ve fitted them, also they found lots of "residue" in the bottom of both the float chambers, now these have been on the car only a couple of months remember, with a brand new aluminium petrol tank fitted in the car, and also an in line fuel filter, so god knows what goes into the fuel these days ! and i allways buy the apparantly "good fuel" Shell optimax, when they showed me the build of of crap, i was amazed, and as i say, thats only after a couple of months.
