(Edit: since everything is about the first part of the post, time to concentrate on after market parts)

From official dealer quoting £1,000+

Another solution is to go for an after market part that will be a lot cheaper. from £100-250. Any one used after market parts such as these and what are your take on them?

thanks.

What car is it? The value will dictate whether I'd use OEM or aftermarket TBH.

excellnt, yes go for the insurance fraud option, and while you are at it get up the docs, feign some disability, get yourself a blue badge and start claiming benefits, because honestly, I love funding people like you .....

dibblecorse, personal insults are not what I was expecting and your crazy assumptions are just that. How are you funding me? working since I was 16, ex forces, always paid up everything I owe.

It's a bit cheeky I admit, but as for your know it know it all insults are miss-directed. Considering you know zero about me. Generally I would say 'go back and ready your daily mail' but I guess I don't know enough about you yet...

What you've proposed in the original post is insurance fraud. It's a criminal offence. You're best off just spending the money on the pattern part.

HTH.

Insurance fraud is insurance fraud - doesn't matter what way you look at it

Insurance companies aren't charities. HTH

I can't believe people post this kind of thing - even if they are using a new username.

You're pushing up the premiums of all the other people who aren't committing insurance fraud you mong. That is how he's "funding" you. Insurance companies don't print their own money you know.

Anyway, this is so retarted I'm calling troll.

Taking out a warranty, waiting 14 days, then claiming for an existing problem.

Starting a new aftermarket warranty policy to subsequently claim against for repairs needed

I had a good look in my history but couldn't drag out the page I wanted - need someone cleverer on the internets than me to find it in google's cache I reckon
