Returning to the fold

After selling my 1970 Tuscan in 2009 and destroying my Tuscan racer at Castle combe in the same year im returning to the TVR fold.

Just done a deal with Tony at HHC on a 21k mile, 2001 4.2 Cerb.



I've had a couple of Cerbs in the past and longed for another one. This is a nice spec and low mileage so I made the leap ( despite being close to buying a 911!)

hopefully have it within the next couple of weeks.

Not off hand but there a couple of Mk2s in my hallway waiting for me to pull my finger out & get rid of them!

They fit very nicely but not much room for adjustment, upwards.

Well its arrived!

Got to Bristol on the back of HHCs covered delivery lorry yesterday afternoon.



Only had a chance to take it for a 5 min spin around the block but it was like getting in a time machine. All the things I love about TVR came back, the noise and smell.


I hada chace to really go around it in detail last night and Tony at HHC hasnt let me down. The car is 10 years old but box fresh with only a couple of tiny marks and an as new interior.


Looking forward to the weekend when I can really spend some time getting to know it.

Does anyone know what this gold switchy thing is for?

it looks like the A/C thermostat dont turn it to much either way as a small movement is all you need or your A/C will freeze up or not work HTH

Its as it left the factory. The 4.2s came out like that towards the end.

2001 would have been unblended pods - blended didnt happen until well into 2002 afaik

its a late 2001 car, and as far as I know hasnt had any work. Although I may well be wrong. It wouldnt be the first time!
