My Cobra replica has just come back from the paint shop and the engine bay is covered in fine filler/primer dust from the prep stage. What's the best way to get rid of this and get my engine bay nice and clean again? The surfaces are a combination of painted cast iron and steel and rough cast aluminium parts. I was thinking of using an old paint brush, some soapy water and a cloth?

That'll probably do you OK, but if there is any grease or oil in the engine bay, I'd recommend getting some Bilt Hamber Surfex HD. I just mixed up a 20% diluted solution of it today as a test and sprayed it on the door shuts and under the bonnet of my work car a 70,000mile A4 diesel. After 10 minutes soak time it pretty well just washed up good as new with a small amouunt of agitation using an old paint brush, then wiped over with an old sponge.

This is the stuff, but bare in mind it comes 'neat' so you need another spray bottle to dilute it into if you buy the smaller trigger bottle.
