Sony v Samsung 32" LCD
Discussion
I need to replace an old 2nd TV in the kitchen with something more up to date. The size is fixed at 32", the budget is sub £400 and it needs to be full HD.
It'll be connected to a Freesat box so built-in Freeview and or FV HD is not a requirement.
At the moment the two front runners are the Samsung 32D530 at £300 or the Sony 32CX520 at £335. I'm erring towards the Sony based on experience of picture quality but I'd appreciate any comments or experiences of one or both sets or, indeed, any other suggestions.

My only comment would be that following my researching TV's (a bit bigger, 37") the feedback I was getting from people in the know was that the Samsungs are good BUT the sound is not the best. If you need to have it up a bit loud to hear it then get the Sony, if not try the Samsung.
Incidentally, I bought a Samsung UE37D5520 (Comet, £599) a week ago and it is by far the worst sound I have ever heard from a TV. Engineer coming tomorrow... but the picture is really good.
