AND what they have not said is that oregons water is highly chlorinated, so bad that you can smell it when served with water in a restaurant, which would kill all the bad things in the water anyway....

I can see the chap's point of view. I mean, look at homeopathy. The solutions they sell are diluted even more that one pea in a reservoir. Much more. And it still works. It really does. So yes, he should have drained the reservoir. You never know.
