$3000 what car???

Off to the states and need a runaround i do not want to spend more than $3000 and second hand cars are really expensive so any ideas on what to get...

I would find the biggest land-yacht with the biggest V8 $3000 could buy.

I'd also want dented bodywork and knackered dampers for the full-on roly-poly effect.

crown vic, taurus, probe all fords ive seen, also kept my eye on toyota 4runner, grand cherokee, mitsu ellipse, that ive found near me within my budget, ideally id like something european that i know about

No, you need a V8. And the more yank the better. Surely that's one of the main reasons to move abroad - to sample other cultures (cars)
