In Paris for a bit and went to see the exhibition today..... and wow.
Best part of the trip so far, really good display. The cars are stunning and there's a few good movies that they play. I'm not even more in love with the 250 GT0 and the F1 GTR. There's a room where they play the sounds of the cars through surround sound which is pretty amazing. About 5 minutes for each car.
The only downside - no photos. Apparently because they're not the property of the museum you can't take pictures, or so the nice French man said.
Anyway, if anyone has the chance, it's definitely worth while. I got in free as well being under 26 and an EU citizen.

It is an excellent exhibition of a superb collection. We went over two weeks ago just to see it and was not disappointed. Cars are displayed well and, in spite of not being allowed to take photos, you can get very close and even get down on the floor to have a good look underneath - which is how I found out that, hitherto unbeknown to me, the 250 GTO has leaf springs at the rear. It is kind of strange when the most mundane vehicle in the display is a McLaren F1!
Afterwards we stopped off for a beer or several on Av de la Grande Armee (where bike stores and Lambo Paris are) and was treated to an incredible wedding party convoy converging on L'Etoile roundabout.... Bentleys, RRs, 458, MB SLSs, Lambos, more Ferraris etc.etc. all with the passengers hanging/falling out of doors, windows, sunroofs and any other opening that a human could get through.
Then to add the final touch had the Le Mans raiding parties on the Eurotunnel back and the Canadian GP 'specially delayed part way through to give us time to get home to watch the final 15 laps.
Next foray pretending to be a romantic weekend away will be to the Schulmpf collection.
And I took her to see Senna last night. I know how to treat a girl.
