What would you do about this.....

.....Rust! But not the typical places, this is on the windscreen on the passenger side where the rubber seal for the roof meets the windscreen surround. I guess water has sat there for a while as it's rusted away:

So what are my options? How quickly is it going to get worse? months / years? Should I sand it back, use cure rust stuff on it, then try and touch it up? I'm scared of doing the latter, as when I used a touch up kit on my doors, no matter how many layers I used the paint wasn't think enough and doesn't look good.
Probably not worth paying someone to sort out I'd imagine, due to the fact it's so small? I know if I did touch it up myself it wouldn't be THAT noticeable, but I'm a bit of a perfectionist (but also on a budget!)

Wheeler dealers dealt with this problem on the Mx5 they bought, think they took the windscreen out though.
Wheeler dealer's one was a lot worse - I've seen that episode

got the same on mine - am gonna treat it myself
i'd rub it back as far as poss, get some rust treatment on it - when that's dry then put some filler over the top to make it nice and smooth before you re-paint it.
Skinny - Hurry up and do it, and let me know how you did it / how it went.i'd rub it back as far as poss, get some rust treatment on it - when that's dry then put some filler over the top to make it nice and smooth before you re-paint it.
