Convoy to Caring with Cars?
Discussion
Guys,
I am booked in for the Caring with Cars even on the 9th July, http://www.pistonheads.com/calendar/event.asp?i=24...
are any of you also going? Do you fancy meeting up and going down in a convoy?
I was thinking about heading down there via Eavesham way instead of taking the motorway, let me know if anyone is going and are interested.

Hi again...I guess it is best to aim to be on site at around 9am so departure time from Strensham needs to be no later than 07:30 how does that sound?

Buddy im up for that.100SRV
7:30 @ Strensham services southbound it is.

Hey guys, would it be OK for me to join you on the jaunt down. If so is it a definate 7.30am at Strensham southbound? Will be coming from Coventry way and would need to leave at 6.45am latest to meet you all. If it is OK mines a Blue with Orange stripes Lotus Elise. Cheers FFF.
For sure...but wait! I must check what time we are supposed to be at the venue..."Caring with Cars 2011" will bring all manner of performance and classic vehicles together to raise much-needed funds for a very worthwhile cause on Saturday 9th July 2011 from 10 am.
So an arrival time of 09:00 to 09:30 would be spot-on and maybe allow a more interesting route down...what about M5 to J11a then A417 to Birdlip, pick up B4070 to Stroud?
Or A38 all the way?
Open to suggestions...

Any others?
BlueG33 we could RV near the Air Balloon if that suits?

At the Air Balloon would be great. (assuming you mean the one at the top of Birdlip Hill). What time?"Caring with Cars 2011" will bring all manner of performance and classic vehicles together to raise much-needed funds for a very worthwhile cause on Saturday 9th July 2011 from 10 am.

Apologies for not joining in the discussion that I started, but I have been at Goodwood since last Wednesday...
It would be great to meet up and then take some A roads in, I am in a bike engined Stuart Taylor Motorsport which isn't particularly comfortable on long motorway runs.
Strensham services is only 45 minutes away for me, which would seem like a sensible motorway threshold for my ears to take! I may need to stop off a few times on the way for fuel due to an unfeasibly small fuel tank, if that is OK with you?

Hello FFF,I am in Solihull, and plan to leave around 6.30 to 6.45 to get the Strensham for 7.30, depending on which part of Coventry you are at do you want to meet up and head to the M5 together? Maybe meet at the NEC or Solihull junctions of the M42, let me know what you think?
I will be in grey Stuart Taylor Motorsport, "7" type car.

Meeting at the Air balloon car park pub up on birdlip hill for 915-930 or so would mean you would arrive in Bristol probably around 1030, depending on how convoy proceeds.
I suggest you go down the A46 through Nailsworth, joining the M4 . Makes for a far more interesting route than the M5. Then join the M4 westbound, then M5 south, then off at J19 like the directions say?

.....Hi everyone. The organisers have asked, if you read their letter, not to be there too early....meaning before 10am. It is better for them if you arrive a little later then earlier.7:30 @ Strensham services southbound it is.
