This came up the other week on thread about how secure is Aston's future. There's an article at the PH home page but for those that missed it (no-one's commented on it so I guess that's everyone) here's the link to the Aston website.

Well good news for Aston in the short term. Will be interesting to see the product development over the next 2-5 years. Hopefully no more Cygnets

Bond proceeds are not for new car development, they are being used to refi existing senior debt that could be called early next year, pay out the Ford pref shares, and possibly a divi to Dar. No monies for the actual business.

I'm not sure that's true is it?

After paying out the senior debt, prefs, fees for the bond etc, and the shareholder dividend (that was stated in the FT when it was announced they were proceeding with a bond) I would suspect there would be very little left over.
