IMHO wouldn't be worth building it back to new again. Quite a nice wee base to work something spectacular onto though, Typhon engined cerbie anyone?

I was thinking, would it work to bang in a mitsubishi 3000GT engine, with all the four wheel drive stuff too.... mmmm

remove the burnt roof, and go for convertible? maybe source a Jag convertible roof???? mmmmm

bang in some Rover leather seats..... mmmmm

get an F50 style bonnet fitted.... mmmmm

rub down and complete front end respray.... mmmm

haggle the price down to 3000

get a GTO for around 2000ish (written off body one)

spend about 10k on all the work

mmm, 15k gives you a car that probably would perform better and look better too...

if anyones up for the project, give me a shout... I'll help out! got loads of time on my hands now.

Remember its cat B so you can't use the car on the road.
Salvage is split down to:

CAT A
CAT B
CAT C
CAT D

Cat A is worse damged cat D least. CAT A and B cars cannot be repaired and put back onto the road. Insurance companies sale them for breaking for parts only.

You could spend a whole lot of cash on the car and the thing can never be put back on the road!

There is a speed6 engien in the classifeids for £4k.

If I was gonna do this Id whack the Speed6 in (if the current engine is completly knackered, if not rebulid that).

Then Id get rid of the burnt roof but keep the roll cage only.
Imagine what a cool track car that would be!

I'd try something a little different and drop one of these into it, cheap power.

No, If it's Cat B it cannot be put back on the road. SVA would need to check chassis numbers etc which would show it up as Cat B I would have thought.

Well I am hoping that isn't my old Cerb, P424 OGV, real shame if it is.
