Headlight not Working!

My drivers side head light has stopped working.
I have had trouble with the wiring in the past on the control units so most if not all the dodgy wires have had new connectors fitted. I have had no issues for around a year now then all of a sudden it has stopped.
I have checked all fuses, swapped the "lights switching unit" (I bought a spare last year) so this is not the cause. I have also swapped the bulb units (I was working on my front brakes at the time so was an easy check)
I have not ruled out the "Dip/Dim switching unit" the wires all look ok but have no way of testing the unit or spare to swap it to.

Does the Dip/Dim unit work on a left/right basis? Or are there any other relays that may be in the wiring system?

Had a similar problem with o/s dip beam on mine and it was corrosion on the spade connectors to the bulb , so easy fix , worth a look if not done so.

It doesn't have spade connectors (well not that I could see) it has a twist lock type of connector. I did check for corrosion as I swapped the light units from side to side and they looked ok.

Does anyone know if the dim/dip switching unit works the left and right side of the car separately? I am wondering if I can swap a couple of wires around to see if that helps identify the cause.
