check in time for manchester to gatwick

Unfortunately I have to do a midweek business trip to worthing and we're doing manchester to gatwick on the 7am BA service. I'm not a morning person so I'd prefer not to go with the 1.5hrs recommended check in. I live very close to mcr airport so my arrival time there will be very predictable...anyone familiar with these internal flights, what sort of check in time is sensible?

Online 24 hours before, the gate closing time will be stated on your boarding card.

Yes, handluggage only. I only have an e-ticket and it doesn't state the check-in close time. I'll see if I can find that someplace.

Turned up today 60 mins before a Belfast flight without checking in online. Have to say though the short stay car park was chaos with cars racing around for non existent spaces. Took 10 mins to find a space and had me concerned for a while.
