Goodwood Festival of Speed... Anyone going??
Discussion
Bit of a cheeky request...
Is anyone able to get me a complimentary ticket for the Motorshow on the Thursday? I've got my ticket but have a friend that really wanted to go this year and unfortunately cant go because they got made redundant and have been unemployed for most of this year. I'd like to be able to suprise them if at all possible.

I am going on the Sunday this year. I haven't been on a Sunday for many years, usually favouring the Friday but free tickets are free tickets!. So, dilemma. What time do the gates open? What time would you advise going if by car so as to avoid the worst queues. I don't mind going bonkers early even if it means making a brew in the car park and a bacon buttie. The other option is a friend has offered me a bike to borrow, and of course I'll probably fall off as I haven't ridden a bike for a few years. Which side is the clutch on again??
I usually aim to be there nice and early, Sunday will be very busy so I'd say get there soon after 7am if taking the car. You can always have something to eat before going in.
And for anyone into aircraft the Vulcan will be displaying at 1pm on Sunday. Best viewing point is actually the public carpark out past the start line. Thats where I normally aim to park as well!!

That car park will be closed to the public just before the display starts, to satisfy the regulations of air display H&S. You won't be permitted to watch from there.Gwagon111 said:

Only the entrance to and from the car park. I'll be safely by my car by the time the display starts. Was fine last year
