Hi all,

I have been looking to get a watch for about 9 years now! (It's a long story)...anyway after browsing this forum for a while I just discovered the "one-hand" thread.cloud9

I love the Botta/Uno watches:-

http://www.botta-design.de/en_modelluebersicht.htm...

BUT it's web only and I have no idea what size would suit my skinny(ish) wrists and what the different models would look like in real life.

Stupid question but what's the best way to get an idea of size and thickness etc?

I can't see anything on their site about returns - I assume you can't just order something and send it back because you don't like it?

Any thoughts gratefully received...

There's a case size guide you can print off here that might be of help

If its any help, I have the skinny wrist problem (6.5"-7") and find anything bigger than 40mm looks ridiculous. Even some 40mm look too big if they 'wear' big.

I try and stick to 38mm/39mm cases.

The meistersinger one handed watch comes in 38mm which is next on my buy list. Have a look at chrono24, they have quite a few 38mm for around the £700 mark.

I'm probably going to sound stupid here with my outrageous idea.

Why not go to a few shops, try some watches on of varying sizes and then go home and order one?

Unless you're allergic to sunlight and can't get to a shop during opening hours? In which case you need to ask yourself if you really need a watch.

Mini monster is about 43mm and my wrists are 7".

It's big but not stupid.

That would, indeed, be sensible - but during the week I am at work from 9-9 or 10, and at weekends I am 20 miles from any shops...I maybe get near some shops once a month or so, but usually in a rush/no time to look...

I agree - it is all a bit silly.getmecoat

Meant to say - thanks to others...Sounds like 40mm might be doable, enough that it's worth taking a punt on the watch anyway....

for cheaper alternative mono-hands I found these:-
