SWMBO is going shopping in Edinburgh (ladies - help...!)
Discussion

Mrs Get wants to buy clothes - but has never been to Edinburgh. Personally I have never bought any womens clothes in Edinburgh either, so where's the best place for her to head... Princes St? I should point out we're not exactly young, so she's not looking for cheap teenage fashion outlets.
TIA
Steve, George Street, particularly the East end where you have, Karen Millen, Hobbs, Jigsaw, Phase 8, East etc. and Jenners is always worth a look on Princes Street/South St Andrews Street. I have personal experience of being dragged round all of these!
And if you can make your escape The Abbotsford at the East end of Rose Street still serves a good pint!;)

You will not thank me for telling you this when you get your credit card statement but....
Harvey Nichols,Louis Vuitton and many more purveyors of daylight robbery can be found in Multrees Walk just off St Andrews Square.
The restaurant on the top floor of Harvey Nichols is not a bad place to drown your sorrows whilst your wife is downstairs spending £1500 quid on a bloody handbag.
