Hi all

I have just spen an hour on the search function for the forums, trying to find if the cheaper £40 lcd screens are still available from any suppliers.

If someone could point me in the right direction that would be great.

If not i will have to got to raceproved and get the £150 one.

Thanks again

I did the same. Farnell do a very similar one but requires a different voltage. The originals aren't available and couldn't find anyone with any stock.

You also need the connector which is a PIA to solder to the board, and you need to cut it down a bit. In the end I took mine apart, realigned the pins and it is ok. I personally don't think it is worth bothering unless you are really handy with a soldering iron.

I found some stock last year....they were discontinued stock so you are unlikely to find them. Did a group buy and sold every one unfortunately...

I suspect the new ones must be a new part number 'cause there doesnt seem any supply issues. if you could get the new part number you may have a chance of finding them at wholesale price. I would guess the trade price must be around £30 odd - certainly not £150.

by the way, think tvr power do them at £110.

with regard to the soldering of the connectors, i managed to do 70 of the buggers - and im no soldering expert (though i was quite good by the time i finished!!)

sorry for drifting away a bit from the topic but what about upgrading to one of these. I thought of swapping once the original would break:

I guess in theory its possible if you could find out what the pin outs are on the standard PCB?

Can this new screen be configured to a bespoke set of inputs?
