A manual choke. - it's been a while since people had to remember to tell their engines that they were cold!!

A manual choke - sadly not, my first car was a Mk5 Cortina and it had the infamous automatic choke - it NEEDED a manual choke tho!!
A manual aerial. - Several - it amazes me that we had to work so hard back then!!
No rev counter - Oh yes - and I didn't really miss it as much as I thought I would...
Which was painted more than 1 colour - No - but the Cortina did have a vinyl roof!!
Which you scrapped because it was simply knackered (NOT because you crashed it!!) - not yet but SOON!
Which had less than 10 miles on it when you got it! - Sadly not. 3 'new' cars have passed my hands but they had over 300, over 500 and 3500 (ex-demo but still 'sort of' new) on them when they arrived.

The car I learnt to drive in- a Metro- pretty much qualifies on all counts- was running on 3 cylinders for a while (knackered ignition lead); I can't remember if it was 2 tone white with grey or if it was a decal. Anyway, surely large areas of rust count as a second colour? And it will have been scrapped since my first accident and a complete and utter bodge-job cheapo repair.Have you ever owned a car with...????

Yes, the only brand new car I had was an MG Metro in 1985. The two worst things about that car were 1) it was s
te and fell to bits in the three years I paid for it, and 2) looking at Classic & Thoroughbred magazine from 1985, I could have bought an Aston DB6 for the price of that ste Metro.
