Well, its report time!!
Ive had a good look over this beast, and firstly the outriggers have a bit of surface rust that I chipped away, but no holes found on either side, front and back.
Next the engine sounded sweet, revved well with no hesitation but I had a bit of concern regarding the ammount of pressure in the water system after only 10 mins of test drive, could be a problem with head gaskets, but probably just me being paranoid as there were absolutely no other symptoms including the breather/filler being spotless!
The gearbox was pretty notchy but again nice and positive.
Here comes the major problem for me... the gearbox rattled like a ducati dry clutch, until depressed, it was then as quiet as a mouse, and eventually this put me into a position that would not enable me to buy the car!
could just be the clutch release bearing or first motion shaft, but either way it would involve a new clutch and possible gearbox rebuild and that was too much work ( especially to get it to BBWF!) but I am quite fussy!!!!
The rear wheels were out of line about 3/4 inch, but as the seller said, this could have been the body off and back on wrongly positioned causing the misalignment.
The car drove straight and true and broke straight and evenly, the shocks were perhaps a bit tired!
All in All, probably well worth the money, and as long as you can put a bit of effort would be a nice car.

P.S, as the seller said, the dash was a bit of varnished (badly) ply, but with a bit of help from HOTTY this is easily sorted.

Oh no!!! The vultures are circling already!!!As has been said before - any roadworthy wedge is worth around £3k in parts alone.

I was thinking of buying it tommorrow and breaking it. All parts will be available except the rear half of the body which will be made into a trailer. Based in Essex so you will need to collect the parts, cant be arsed to post.
Whats all this Fannying about, buy it before i break it!!! if you snooze you loose!!!Not for me, compared to my chim, it was, well, was s
te.
I think I was expecting more of an experience.
Drove like a really dated car, maybe they all do but in my dreams a well sorted wedge, seac or that fantastic yellow racer I saw at TAG11 definitely would be sooo much better, no, 10 times better.
It is what it is, £1,250.00 worth.
If it was to be my first tiv and I only had £2K, I would have been in like a shot, not now.
hope it sells to the right "twiddler".

Nice bloke to talk to, but I think itll be really close to the asking price, and to be honest, thats cheap as chips for a nice driving straight car...
Wish I had another 200 quid in my pocket now!
Far too good to break!!
