Good evening all

I'm new to the forum, my apologies if this topic is in the wrong location. Insurance question, I had two insurance policies. One for my car and one for my wifes car, on which she was a named driver. I had 9 years protected no claims on each. However she was in a crash that was deemed her fault. I'm currently buying a van, however my insurance company will not insure that type of vehical. The new policy with a different company will just be for me. Are protected no claims bonuses transferable? And so far from what i can tell my wife's accident is adding roughly £500 to the insurance, surely this is not right ?

Many thanks

Tom H

Protected bonus on a van is typically adds a higher percentage than on a car.

Especially if claim in the last year... Will wife drive the van?

Oh point to note you will not get driving other cars extention on a van policy.
