alternative clutch master cylinder?

hi guys looks like master cylinder has given up now car was driving lovely stopped left couple hours no clutch turned out fingers had snapped on pressure plate put new clutch in bled it pedal solid ok fine finish of putting everthing back except exhaust and chassis brace tried clutch no good fluid leaking out bell housing strip back down put in new slave complete try to bleed tonight no pedal got all air out but no pressure looks like master gone now so just fin getting that out before dark i think what may have happened when did clutch the first time all the black sh@t went round system and sh@@ged the seals lesson learned think in future to save extra work will replace the lot just wondered if the master was a ford part or some other marque or is it specific to tvr welcome any feed back
hi mate yes no punc but cba at mo after all the probs with cerb, was hoping to fin off tonight and have back on road for up and coming heat wave done all the work myself so at least no labour cost was hoping there may have been an alternative cylinder as is for the brake master,oh well back to tvr power then for another part.

This. ^That aside though, from what you've written it does sound like master cylinder failure. If this is the case then don't despair as it's not all that bad a job to do, just a little fiddlely as your either deep inside the footwell under the dash or working through a small appature in the engine bay.
Master cylinder isn't expensive, around £70 if my memory serves me right.
When I changed mine I found a local hydraulic specialist and had them make up a new copper pipe for me as the old one was knackered by the time I gave up trying to whip it off at the top. I'd suggest undoing at the footwell end then just snipping through it at the top - this might even give you more working room around the master cylinder. Top tip though - when having a new pipe made, have it a few inches longer at the footwell end as you can loose this behind the carpet trim !
did some research and found landrover series three master cylinder fits just need an adaptor for the unf thread my local supplier stock two kinds o/e one £30.00 or cheaper alternative £12.00 both with same amount of gaurantee so i opted for cheaper one and fitted adaptor which was £5.00 so saved around £50.00 have put info on equivilent part number thread
ha ha jensen very funny mate,just finished putting it all back together works perfectly,so big saving on the master cylinder, in fact i have had the cerb 6 years now and the clutch is the best its ever been,mind you have replaced everything now,but must say i am pleased with the saving went towards filling the tank.ps hope you lot are happy with the punctuation now lol.
hi russ no part numbers,but find your local landrover supplier not a main agent and ask for landrover series three master cylinder, they should have two types,o/e one and a spurious one mine did anyway,dont forget the little adaptor too to alter the thread on master, should cost you about £14.00 + about £5..00 for the adaptor.
