Re using rocker gaskets
Discussion
You just have to be sure the brass inserts / bushing are still present in each of the holes they have a habit of popping out. On assembly make sure the lip is fitted around the rocker cover, light oil / grease / vaseline is the best assembly lube, but many resort to silicones / glue etc due to the problem fitting the lip to the cover and of course having to work 'upside down'..
Personally I take time & fit studs to drop them on and use 'long bolts' to fasten them down with a special socket (magnet glued in the end
) so they don't fall in the engine. I also carefully grind the rocker cover edge to get a good fit with the gasket lip.
