I wonder if Guy or Henry are about for Pistonfest? They both have experience of drag racing and one of their GT2 clubsports should put a up a credible performance.

My imediate though was of the following few a good couple would be up for it-

GuyR- GT2
Bluesatin- ULT
456MGT- CS
Goodlife- Noble
Jeremy C- SLR (or any of the JC fast fleet actually!)
Joust- Noble
Earl of Bolton- Uberbeetlespurter

Oh and the idea of getting Daz drunk enough that he lent his car to some one shorter the pocket sized Ninja Ali could be a good choice

Some good ideas there Iguana.

Only problems are Goodlife has sold the Noble and getting DeR to leave the running of the sweetshop to his assistant for two days is a nonstarter.

Not mentioning the getting me drunk comment although people are welcome to try.

I haven't planned that far ahead currently.

The only cars I know that will get into the 11s for a quarter-mile are GT2s or Rufs, unless there are some highly modded 996TTs around.

The proper V8 Drag Racers will be running in the 9s and possibly even 8s, so they are in a completely different league. That said I suppose a double-or-quits 20 mile road-race would even the honours......

I wish, Paul - though I doubt it'd make financial sense putting £7k worth of supercharger on a £6k car and even then, 350bhp is not going to make it into a dragster...
My mate from work is going to be there with his 450BHP Camero - his best time is a 12.18
Now I wonder what my Alfa would do It says 15secs in the manual

Surely not a 2.5 Box Tip!! blimey, not sure id say it was quicker than a punto! Quick is not really in its vocabualary

Thing is just as Guy R says pretty much what ever you take exotic roadcar wise is gunna get its arse spanked, it just depends on by how big a margin!

If we were allowed to run bikes I could take a 1lire sports bike & should reel off mid 10 secs all day, even my own pretty slow old bike should hit mid 12's, but if they put up something rather brisk running an 8 or 9 second, its still gunna be thank you & goodnight
