Who remembers these?

Can you still get them in some retro retail store (obviously not out of date)

I remember them - they were almost like mini-savoury biscuits akin in texture to McVities CHeddars shaped liked their name sakes.

Not seen them for years tho.

They were probably made illegal under an EU ruling due to toxic (but delicious) levels of salt & vinegar. I miss them.

I used to love them.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Burton's_Foods

"They produced crisps & snacks, including the popular Potato Puffs & Fish & Chips savoury crisps (created by a Mr Hamer and associates). These have a cult following due to being popular with schoolkids in the 80's, but the closure of their crisp & savoury snacks factories in the early 90's brought an end to the manufacturing. This was apparently due to falling sales. Despite a demand to bring the retro snacks back, Burtons have no intention of producing them again, they now concentrate on their biscuits range".

Sold by my school tuck shop in the early 80s, along with the bacon flavoured variety - 'Smacks'
