A14 Godmanchester incident??
Discussion
Driving home today, and the Westbound A14 carriageway from the M11 up to near the Huntingdon/Brampton exit was solid traffic.
I saw the Police had stopped the traffic, just before the bridge near the big Water tower. There were about 3 people on the bridge looking down, and the Police helicopter was overhead but slightly further back - almost as if something was happening under the bridge, but the Eastbound was open as usual.
Looked online but can't find any info. Anyone know?

A MAN has been talked down from a bridge near Huntingdon railway station.
The man left the bridge at 4.15pm following negotiations with police officers.
Crowds of passers-by, commuters and students on their way home from school had gathered near the bridge to watch the situation unfold, with the man sitting with his feet dangling over the road below.
The westbound A14 and Brampton Road had been both been closed since 2.30pm, and a police helicopter was also deployed to the area.
A police spokesman said that tailbacks on the A14 had stretched to Girton, but that as of 4.30pm, all roads had been re-opened.

I'm suprised the Police let a load of kids queue up to watch, if he had jumped it wouldn't be something you would want to watch!
