kids seats?

hi all do you need to put a booster seat in the back of a cerb,did it yesterday and had to take them out ! they fit in there fine with no booster but what would pc plod say about it ?

If the seat belts fit the child properly without the booster you should be ok. If the booster seat makes the belt fit worse than without you should be ok.

This is not legal advice! but it is the approach I have taken with kids in the back of my morgan, where the booster lifts them up too much

Legally a child can be restrained with just an adult seat belt once they have reached EITHER 135cm in height OR their 12th birthday, which ever one of the two comes first.

hi yes thats what i thought but the rear seats in a cerb are like kids seats already (alot higher than the fronts)with the booster seat they are to high

I would say use your own judgement matey if the seat belt fits correct without boosters then go with it, if pc plod pulls you for it then just explain the issue of height

i think i will just leave the boosters in the boot and if i get pulled show them that with them it doesnt work!

I have two of these http://www.bubblebum.co.uk/ they can be used deflated so that they don't provide any extra lift. I have also made a small pad to go over the B post seat bely bolt, it makes it safer and also gives the kifs a place to rest their heads when they go to sleep.
