I have tried but can't think of a duller, blander more uninspiring front of any car anywhere. I thought it was a Honda to start with...

I have to agree with the OP. The Passat has never really been a looker (since everyone got over the A6-alike "lemon slice" roofline), but the new model is utterly nondescript.

I had one of the new Vauxhall astra's behind me on the way home today, in beige. Just looked like a jelly mold.
