Okay so, following the recent death of my Great Aunty Joyce, who left me a 1/45 th share of her estate, we were looking at "investments". It was decided that using a petrol car to do 15000 miles a year was costing £1500 more than if we bought a Deisel (or LPG)

So somehow my wife has agreed that it would be worth buying a large deisel for between £2 and £5K

But (her words again) no mondeo's or Astra's (although a focus or vectra would be fine apparently)

Somehow I managed to convince her that a 156 was a fiat and fiat make the best taxi's in the world - witness the butt ugly multipla.

So now to find a good one. Or even How to find a good one ?

Should I just buy a 1.6 Diesel Focus ?

There's one in a Local Dealer but it's an 04 reg which should be a facelifted model and it's got an earlier nose, which says the £2795 price is a bit steep.

Maybe it sat on a dealer forecourt or on a ship ?

But that said I might look at it on the way back from adsa today.
