I am fortunate to own a couple of nice watches so am finding it hard to justify spending lots on another.

So I am thinking of scratching the itch cheaply and really liked the look of one of these

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B002NGNSOE/ref=...

Best price i found was £216. Does anyone own one or have any views?

Looks cool. The "lume" will be awesome all night long. I love tritium tubes.

I have that exact watch. Its pretty cool although I have only worn it once. I bought it to scratch two itches; the stealth itch and the tritium tube itch. Does the job nicely. The only things that let it down are that its Quartz and the crown is a matt grey colour instead of black like the rest of the watch - nothing that a permanant marker cant fix though smile

I have a luminox, and contrary to everyone else I have seen comment on them, I think the quality of it was shocking, the rubber strap snapped recently, the second hand, and minute hand are off centre of all but 3 of the markers and the paint used to mark the bezel rubbed off in about 3 months...I would never buy another now to be honest, although the acutal look when it was new was cool.

Worrying but useful to know, which model was it, not sure if quality varies across range

It was
Like I said, it was from my experience, I cant speak for the brand as a whole but I'll take a picture tonight and post it on tomorrow/tonight of what condition it is in.
Edited to add: although I have worn the watch on 5 continents and regularly gone diving with it, however it was always looked after...in the end I am glad it was so bad quality because it led to me buying my G-Shock which I love! smile

How old was it when it went south? And did you complain to manufacturer or retailer?

I may take a chance if the customer service/warranty is decent

Bugger, I got the watch out to bring to work so I could take a pic and the pesky O/H distracted me and I left without it this morning. The lettering rubbed off after 3-4 months, the hands went out of sync after about the same, it was when I went backpacking so I couldnt wait around for ages in one spot so I just kept on with it, OH one more thing, I used to wear it on the inside of my wrist, and the glass scratched ON A PLASTIC TABLE! I thought it was supposed to have a crystal face and would stand upto a crappy plastic train table. I still have the warrenty card etc, but to be honest it was a throw-away item when I bought it and I live in Qatar and there are no known dealers who would handle it here and id have to pay for the bezel, glass and strap.Infact I think I'll go find another band with the tritum tubes to replace it...damn you man! hahaha.

the watch was bought in 2009 and has been worn for half that time.

Also noticed the hour hand is wiggling about a bit.
