I know we joke about 'go faster' stripes and other various 'static' mods that make a car go faster but................

I finally got around to giving the 450 an oil and filter change today. The previous owner had been using a 15w40 mineral oil.

I have replaced it with Fuchs Pro S Ester fully synthetic 10w50 from Opie Oils with a V8F high performance, high flow, high density glassfibre filter.

So, as the title states..............is it just me or does the car feel just a little more eager?

Less oil drag in the engine due to a thinner oil?

It maybe is an all in the mind type of thing but I have just done an oil/filter change. This time I have used Millers 15W50, the engine definatly sounds smoother but I haven't driven it yet to see if it has anymore horses.

i have been using millers for last 3 years and i beleive it to be very good not sure if it's faster but its a good oil.

I think the air density makes a much bigger difference.

That's why it's worth getting a cold face in winter, or on cool summer evenings
