anybody out there with a fire extinguisher in his car ?
I am thinking of buying one but there is not enough space for a (fia 2.4l) extiguisher in front of the seat : I am curious how you solved this (pictures would be very much appreciated!)

yust an idea
knowing it's a pain to open the bonnet i think a fire extinguisher is without great use.
perhaps it's a good idea to manufactor a bigger one (behind the seat) with 2 lines going left and right under the bonnet.
can't be that difficult
when you catch fire yust pull the safety off and the fire under the bonnet is gone.
will save a lot of time (and car)

I agree Rens that might be the only logical solution with that bonnet>
I will check at Biesheuvel for some descent stuff (they build these systems in rally cars).

They should really have had a master switch and a plumbed in fire extinguisher. I had a look at a lot of fire damaged cars where the bonnets were broken by fireman trying to open the bonnet. There were a number of cars with airbox fires as well.

I only have mine fitted

a) for me with a light interior/fuse board fire
b) help anyone else.
