Goodwood FoS - Saturday or Sunday?

I've never been to Goodwood Festival of Speed yet, and I'm looking to buy tickets for either the Saturday or Sunday. Which day is best?

i'm going on saturday, so i'd say saturday

I've been on both over the years.
Saturday was a bit quieter but less celebrity drivers. Sunday was very busy but has Hamilton, webber etc plus you have timed runs up the hill with the top ten having a shootout at the end.

Air display is usually different too, saw the Vulcan on the Sunday, not sure if it was there on the Saturday or not. If you can go for both I'd do it as I've never been able to fit everything in one day, especially with the rally course at the top too.

I always go on the Friday as it is less crowded, you still see all of the glorious vehicles and can get alot closer to them in the paddock than you can over the weekend etc.


I found when I went on the Sunday 2 years ago it was so so busy it was horrible (although I just hate crowds in general)

The Friday is also cheaper than Sat or Sun.

Got a complimentary ticket for Thursday, I actually have one spare if anyone wants it. I won't know for certain until Wed when I hope to get them, but there is a very good chance I will get them.

I'd recommend the Saturday or Sunday because I plan to go on the Friday next year!

Work's got in the way this year, but I got tickets for the MMS on Thursday, which was ok last year - about a 3rd of the exhibits were there, I reckon, although they didn't run up the hill.

From all I've heard Saturday and Sunday are both busier than Friday, but all days are busy.

To be honest, all the days are busy. And fitting seeing everything into one day is a challenge. The star drivers are usually split between Saturday and Sunday (Jens on sat and Lewis on sun this year I think).

Either day you'll have a blast. Feel free to say hello if you end up on the rally stage at a crossing I'm marshalling. I'll be the scruffy chap with the long hair.
