I have a small chip in my rear drivers side door. It's not gone through to the primer and it's very small but with the car being new I'm still a bit too precious about it for my own good and if you know something is there you keep noticing it...

So, last time I dealt with stone chips I used a cocktail stick, masking tape, some touch-up paint, and a bottle of "Langka" to remove the excess and flat the touch-up paint down to the level of the surrounding paint.

Have there been any miracle products in the last couple of years that make dealing with small chips easier?

In fact the opposite, UK HSE regs state that w/b colour coats must be used in the repair of motor vehicles (if your a professional repairer), the process is neither economical nor does it give a satisfactory/invisible result for the p/h fraternity.
Probably a chipstick from the local motor store will be your best bet, that way you can spend as much time as you like perfecting your touch-in skills. wink
