95N 525i saloon. 70k genuine miles. Parked up, garaged, for the last 5 years. Totally (I mean **totally**) immaculate inside and out. Grey cloth interior, blue exterior. M steering wheel + gearknob, boot spoiler. Toolkit untouched. Working torch. Fresh MOT. Seller known to me, very honest, doesn't need the money.

Thoughts on a good price?

£1500 sounds fair to both to me. Sounds a lot, but if it's as nice as you say it is, it will be worth it.

Agreed with the above. It will be worth that all day long if the mileage and condition are as specified.

Just to add, it's only worth that money if there are no issues due to it being parked up for so long. The £1500 I stated would be top whack. £1200 would be a good buy.

I would agree £1500 sounds perfectly reasonable if it's as stated.

5 years static? Yep £900 if a spotless example and sills not rotting from inside out.

Will need suspension overhaul, water pump if not changed to metal and air-con refurb if fitted.

Should make a lovely car smile

You should probably add four new tyres to that as well if it's been parked for 5 years and not been moved (after 5 years the tyres are likely to be distorted due to the weight on them).

OK so here it is. Drives really nicely, very smooth and quiet, no rattles. As you'd expect for 70,000 miles really. Minor issues:

1. Coolant level sensor faulty
2. Filling up with more than 1/2 a tank causes it to regurgitate fuel out of a rusty breather pipe hehe

Otherwise, looks like a good barge for £800.

Paintwork's not bad for 16 years old.

hehe

I'm probably in a minority of one, but I think late E34s look great on those alloys, rather than the pre-facelift 15" X-spokes they tend to end up wearing.

Looks like a cracking buy for the meagre money OP thumbup

I'll join your minority, but with the caveat that there's no way I'd keep them due to the cost of (crap) tyres. Leave them in the garage for originality and put some decent 16"s on.

Is there some concensus as to what is the most appropriate BMW wheel to replace metrics on late E34s? 17" is too big, and E39 wheels generally look too modern.

I'd leave them on the standards as I'm that way inclined, but one option could be the 16" X-spokes that went on early E38s as the hub/offset dimensions are sufficiently compatible.

The other style you often see are the 16" 5 star E34 V8 alloys:
