Mazda 3 cd changer problems
Discussion
Anyone else had problems with Mazda 3 autochangers?
I have an '09 3MPS SAK, stonking car, really enjoying it.
Niggle however, is the 'Bose' 6-stack changer (inverted commas because apparently it's only the speakers which are Bose, head unit being Clarion?). It's had an intermittent fault (gotta love them) whereby it occasionally doesn't recognise that there are cds in it, and when in this state doesn't allow loading or ejecting.
Okay, so not a huge problem, and the car's still under warranty, so my local franchise have replaced it...
...twice now. So, onto the 3rd cd player, and three times ain't a charm.
At least this is a new fault- reads the cds ok, but gets to track 6 on whatever cd is playing, and starts skipping and stalling. By track 8, it's spitting the proverbial dummy out, automatically ejecting the cd with a 'check cd' message. Might be paranoia, but this new unit looks to be scratching them also.
A little googling has shown the non-read/recognition to be a known fault, but ffs, this is number three for me now!
So, another 70+ mile round trip to the dealer lies ahead... Would it be worth contacting Mazda directly, as I'm getting sick of the sight of the dealers to be honest!
Frustraiting ain't the word...
