I've always eaten and enjoyed KP salted peanuts from way back
but it now seems this Company is bowing to the health terrorists.
When the logo on a packet reads, "Original salted peanuts" I expect
to receive the original amount of salt. Unfortunately this is no
longer the case and KP have reduced the salt content in many of its
products.

You may think this is laudable but I think it's a big mistake. In
my opinion KP salted peanuts now have the flavour of pieces of dried
out wood! I know too much salt is bad for us but I do think it should
be a matter of personal choice and not up to someone else to dictate
our salt consumption.I have just one message for KP, put the salt back in
or i'm off to sample Nobby's nuts!

With you on this one.

Not your nuts as such, but the sodium nazis.

Used to love Heinz Mulligatawny soup, but the reduction of salt in the recipe has destroyed it for me.

They should have an original and a reduced salt version. Like Coke and Diet Coke, it can be done.

They also have to write 'This product contains nuts' on the packet. The world has gone, well, nuts.

I read somewhere that one packet of salted nuts contained as much salt in as 8 slices of bread, I don't see them reducing salt in bread

Nuts!

I am however responsible for labelling nut products as 'Contains Nuts' as far as I know it's a legal responsibility... or is it our company telling us that

For the sake of bar owners who may put them loose in bowls, I think you may need to label each nut individually, in case someone gets litigious.

Very much like Walkers crisps, they used to be the best, the definitive crisp if you like. But now they are a pale imitation of their former full fat past. You have to buy premium kettle chips in big bags to get even close.

Cinemas too.

I used to always buy salted popcorn. Used to love that thirsty, fat swollen lip feeling you got from wolfing a large bag.

These days its more like plain popcorn.

Poor.

Reminds me of the old joke...

[quote]
My dad was a straight talking kind of guy. Flying out on his holidays there was an announcement that drinks were being served from the bar but no peanuts would be handed out as someone on board the aircraft had a nut allergy.

As the flight attendents reach his row, he's there munching away on his own packet of KP's finest.

"Sir, did you not hear the announcement? You can't eat peanuts as someone on board has an allergy"

To which my dad replies, "As long as it's not the pilot I don't give a fk".

Bourbon biscuits.

I can't really describe what has changed, but they're just not as nice as they were when I were a kid. They used to have a little sprinkling of sugar on top, and the chocolate inside was nice. Not anymore.

I find I also cant scrape the chocolate off with my teeth anymore, it just breaks the biscuit.

Absolutely discusting!

Did you know roasted nuts contain more salt than salted nuts. Found this while while playing peanut top trumps (other bar snack packets can also be used)

I find that quite annoying too - I don't have high blood pressure, if and when I do have it, I will reduce my sodium intake, but for now GTFO my food.

If you have a complaint and you are not the only one start writing to the companies involved, unless we all do this we are donald ducked !..............Most people will whine but do nothing about it.

Im amazed they succeeded.
They have the most popular crisp in Britain by a country mile, and overnight change it to be healthier, completely ignoring the fact that it tastes much stter. I can't understand why the world hasn't rebelled and refused to buy them
