Called in to my local ford dealer over the weekend to price up a new FRS, only to be told they are no longer making them!

Any idea if this is true? If so, is there any ways to get my hands on a new one still?

I think the Focus RS500 was the run-out of the FRS Mk.2?

I saw an internet ad over the weekend from a main dealer (no idea which one, sorry!) which was advertising RS stock with delivery miles. There's bound to be some out there. Is your local main dealer any good? Would they be prepared to do some legwork for you?

They stopped making it about 10 months ago although there a few left (around 45) left in the dealers throughout the country, mainly base spec.

Check here for a few,

Thanks for the replies all!

Just had a look at that link and they're wanting full list of nearly £31,000.
I was offered one @ £27,500 not so long back (plus I get a privilege discount).

Wish I'd bought one now.

Just spoke to both the local dealers near to me who stated there would be none left in the system now, I even asked one to check and he told me he looked earlier. There's me thinking they'd want the commission.

Yeah, still some left & before production ended, you could get some decent discount off a new one but now the last few remaining, no discounts or money off. frown

Have you seen the price on used examples?

Your talking not far off 25k.

Or even 42k in the case of the RS500 above!!!

There's no doubting it's a very nice car, I don't however think it is ever a good idea to describe a £25,000 car as "SPOT ON/SMOOTH/SEXUAL"!

What the hell!?

I know you want new, but this site has the best used examples around.

What i thought.

Odd as the seller seems to be going down one line with the other cars - i.e. lots of info and professional looking setup, then the car in question is 'sexual' and pictured in black and white next to a phone box.

'tis a strange one I must admit. There aren't that many options on the RS and most seem fully specced anyway??

I have been trying to sell my delivery miles RS500 for a few weeks and no joy. Prices appear to have softened recently.
