Well Joseph is now standing up well and liking to stand/bounce next to the stand with out reasonably large TV on it.

Does anyone know if you can get any form of leash that will fix to the back of the screen and fix into the plasterboard behind the TV, to stop if being pulled of the stand. I don't want to mount the TV straight onto the wall, has anybody got any other ideas apart from the obvious.

Many Thanks

Alex

I'm sure I've seen similar in pub/bars etc. some sort of chain bolted to the wall and stuck to the TV so it doesn't hit the deck.

You should get a leash, and tie the child to the wall so it can't reach the telly.biggrin

my little boy smashed the crap out of ours a few months ago when the GP was on. He was walking around with a plastic blue hammer "fixing" things. He then decided he would fix the telly. I couldnt quite cover the distance from the sofa to the TV fast enough.

Oh well, got a good price for him...

I still haven't been forgiven for using a plastic toy drill to do a bit of artistic customisation to the fireplace when I was a toddler and my dad was trying to watch the F1. smile

Don't really care about the TV that can always be replaced, I think I will go and look at a set of those straps.

You could always simply wall mount the TV on a swivel bracket above your AV equipment? Good luck!

If its sitting on a wooden piece of furniture, just bolt it via the footstand. Or, as said earlier, just attach some cable to the wall via one of the holes in the back of the case

Be careful if the wall you tie it to is plasterboard, with a small amount of gravity-assisted momentum it would easily rip the fixing out of the wall.

Well, £15 later in Tesco, trying to find a stud with a stud finder I relented and started drilling pilot holes.

4 holes later and the TV is now fixed to the wall, the kit is quite adjustable and the wire are tight. I don't think it should be possible to get it rocking or pull it over! Famous last words.
