Stain Removal from a Lime Stone Fire Surround.

Has anyone tried an off the shelf stone stain remover that works? Had my sister visit at the weekend and she knocked over a full glass of red wine on to the hearth of our stone fire place I've emailed a local stone mason to see if they have any ideas but I havent received a reply yet.
