Anyone had a VDRS recently?

Just wondering (from another post), if anyone has has a Vehicle Rectification Scheme Notice recently.

The reason that i ask is that i dont know any Trafpols that give these out nowadays (and havent for some time).
From my experience its either a Verbal Warning or a ticket.The reason being that you have to do the same amount of writing as you do when you complete the evidence for a ticket.

I still dish them out for minor stuff - one tail light out etc.

If there's a few defects, report for summons or get the vehicle PG9'd.

the only time you see chelmsford trafpol in my area is when they are issueing these out on a saturday night on southend seafront to all the boy/girl racers because their tints are a little too dark or their stereo is too loud......you never see them issuing them on a tuesday afternoon when someone passes you in a car thats belching blue smoke out or on some nob with no active brakelights.

I've noticed a lot of the BMWs round our way have faulty indicators...

...oh and a lot of 4x4s with faulty wiring (-I assume anyway, switching on sidelights seems to cause their front fogs to go on?)

IMHO Trafpol should issue hundreds of them for London Black cabs excessive exhaust fumes
