How many left?

Thought this was interesting. Always thought there was 6000+ produced but this data would suggest no more than 4000+ on the road at any one time.

How many were exported?
Does this mean the rest were mated with trees and lamp posts?
2011, 2700 on the road and 1000+ sorned?
Anybody got any more info on the numbers?
