Bit daft that someone would actually pay for some small bits of carbon fibre that are totally useless.
Hey ho, I've got a bit of the Berlin Wall, but I chipped that off myself. Apparently if every bit of 'wall' that was supposed to be genuine was lined up/put back in place, the wall would have stretched to the Arctic Circle! Which just proves some people will buy anything.

Just decided to cleer the shed out, anyone one want three bin bags if leeves, dust and off cuttings, wood and metal (no gold) before I put it on eBay !!
If not it's going to the dump, lost for ever.

SOme will want a bit to go with their own photo of the incident, some are just plain stupid enough to want it anyway.
Each to their own. I've not got many car bits as I don't really see the point unless there is a story there for you as well. One bit I have is part of the front wing of a Minardi that Nic Kiesa stuffed right next to me at Rockingham. Only bothered to pick it up as it had clouted me round the bonce.

Based on the other junk being sold, there is probably some idiot who would part with their money.
I can understand people buying proper parts of cars (not smashed up), particularly if it was a race winner or something.
These bits don't really hold much historical value. Big accident yes, but a big part of Le mans history?.... No.

We have a few bits of that as well, a ball or two of rubber and some gravel from the trap up at Dunlop. All to be framed with a couple of photos of ours from the week along the lines of a group photo, one of the winning car, one from the podium and the best night shot we can find of ours. Might go the whole 9 yards and add in the passes
No value to anyone but us and just a bit of fun.
Carbon fibre is pretty bad for your health too, if people don't realise you could get yourself seriously unwell, like dead. Especially on the sharp edges and if its been burnt or scorched, get fibres in your skin and you want to be off to hospital. Hate to sound like a grumpy old man but it should be disposed of appropriately or put on a shelf out of reach rather than sold on.
