Pizza Hut Challenge
Discussion
I assume some people on PH must've done this? See how many slices you can have from the all you can eat buffet for £7. I've just done my first one today and came second with 18.5 slices, first place was a whopping 33 slices.
What's your record?
This isn't meant to be seen as pissing up the wall competition, just wondering if others have doen it.

in one of my old jobs we used to go out for lunch every day in the week before xmas. each day was seem as training for the friday pizza hut challenge. my best was 26 slices which at the time took the record, only for the previous holder to force himself to 28. felt awful all afternoon afterwards.
a year later our intern ate 31 slices in about 20mins flat. was quite a sight.

Have not tried, do you have to get up and get it yourself?
Yep, there were 5 of us and we completely ransacked 2 rounds of the Pizzas (Cheese&Tom, BBQ Chicken, Veg, Peperoni and Ham&Pineapple) we had to slow for the 3rd round. The waiter was was loving it and he told us people were commenting about it and saying "aren't those boys over there eating a lot?".rb5230 said:
Surely thats not including crusts?
Oh it certainly was including crusts - doesn't count as a slice otherwise. He got to 25 with ease and the last 8 were a real struggle for him. Edited by 43034 on Tuesday 28th June 18:25

no, they've changed it now, they bring them round and you take what you want. they call it the pizza parade
that just seems stupid. why have they done that?
That said.. I've always got 1 eye on the buffet for when they put on fresh pizza.
The most I've ever had is 11. every other time, the most i can manage is a pathetic 7-8 slices.
We used to love this at sixth form when we first got our own cars. One afternoon during each timetable week with free periods both before and after lunch. Assemble a group of five likely suspects, pile into the nearest convenient small hatchback, and see how many future meals you could render unnecessary. How I stayed thin at 18 I've no idea.
Arranging five lads stuffed with pizza into the car afterwards was a bit of an exercise, though. If you were the thinnest of the lot then you'd better hope you were the driver... otherwise it was a case of being wedged in the token middle rear seat barely able to breathe in.
Driving a 1987 Polo CL in this configuration (all of 55bhp when new) does not rank as one of the all-time great motoring experiences. I remember once putting it in 5th gear... or as it was on the Polos of that era, 'E' gear... only to find that even on a road that I'd been sure was flat, the car still decelerated gradually despite the throttle pedal nestling against threadbare carpet.

Funnily enough, that's exactly what happened today. We were all sitting round in the common room and a someone said "Ooh, Pizza buffet is on!" and off we went. On the way back, the lad who had 33 slices was given 'shotgun' with out any problems, incase he needed a quick escape!!
'Piza blow out Friday'. 30 slices is our groups record and the holder is not big or fat by any means. I think he has a nuclear reactor in his gut as he just eats and eats.
We used to do 'MOAK' (mother of all kebabs) wednesday too until the place got shut down by the enviro health people. Donner, chicken and that stuff that looks like monkey penis all in a nann bread that was the size of a dustbin lid.
