Let's see what you lot think. Personally I've always thought Top Gear's 'cool wall' would be a whole lot cooler with some classics on it.

But anyway, In my humble opinion I think it's a straight fight between these two....

VW Type 2 'splittie' (Panel vans are cooler but I couldn't find a decent picture)

Original style Land Rover (Particularly earlier ones with the recessed grill/lights)

I find it hard to define cool to be honest. Anyway, i'd have to have a stab at this;

I don't really 'get' the meaning of cool, apart from temperature thing as shown above. In my mind this is a contender like the Land Rover the OP shows.

Looks pretty cool to me. Not quite what I had in mind but what the hell, it made me giggle...

Neither do I, neither does anyone really. All I know is that I find some things to be cool and other things not so much. Generally I lean towards older stuff in that respect.
A good example being that Range Rover you posted, it is very very cool IMO being an early three-door, while conversely a modern FFRR or RRS just isn't.

I reckon it has to be either the E9 BMW csl or a black Renault 5 turbo 2. Maybe even a gordini turbo.

Can't post pics as I'm on my phone and don't know how, but feel free to put some up!

Awesome!! I know my username may not suggest it, but I too am a proper Dub-Head.
(That's air-cooled vee-double-yous, not that awful awful music. I can't even bring myself to say it, you know the one I mean...)

Jamie Oliver drives a splittie. That makes it uncool.

None of the cars above are from my generation, but I agree, old cars are in another league of "cool" cloud9

See, this is exactly what I wanted!! Different ideas of different things are what make us unique. Of course VW type 2s (not bloody 'campers!!') aren't for everyone...

That corvette stingray is gooooorgeous!!

As is that Camero (Apart from those stupid wheels)

I love the aston martin virage too, great big british brute of a car that easily out-muscles most yanks

And... Well I do like the Volvo P1800 but not that one. Those wheels are truly ghastly, and a bonnet scoop on a car like that!?
Yes, I realize it's probably a full blown track/fast road car or something and I'm sure the work was done to a high standard, but we're talking purely about 'cool' here and nothing else. IMO a standard P1800 is very cool indeed but that one is just far too much ostentatious bling.

You'd have to go a long way to find a cooler car than Keith Moon's lilac Rolls Royce...

I just did a man wee, that thing is pure sex.....

Yes, Jamie Oliver has one. Yet he tries and fails miserably to tarnish its reputation IMHO.....
