Hi Guys,

Well much refreshed by my recent kidnap (by my grandkids) and torture on Disneyland Florida's finest and scariest rides in 97 degree heat, I sink to more mundane affairs like panelling the area behind the radiator, ordering a shiny new Ally rad, and generally doing silly things to my butchered dash panel!

..and playing with my new keyless ignition...which got me to thinking about keyless door locks?

Who has done this? What did you use? and have you got any pointers, do's and don't to offer?
I understand that if you have blocked off the door key mechanism, you need some sort of 'secret' manual entry system? (when the battery goes flat?) How can this be done?

Oh by the way! I now know how it feels to accelerate 0-60 in 2.8 seconds - In the DARK! Jeeeeeezz!
So if you need to verify how quick you chariot is going to be once built... go see the 'Rock & Roller Coaster'

My Missus didn't think much of the ride though!

Mind you! There were some seriously scary lifts in the hotel...eek

What really made my trip though, whas that I managed to find a couple of new projects for LuckyP... biggrin

wink
cheers

Mine are keyless but without pops. Have push button and central locking. Pops are on the list for new car.

I have central locking which is set up so that the key no longer activates the lock...the button now only opens the door.
Ditto took it one stage further with a door release aided by poppers that lifted the door an inch or so.

I will PM you how to get into your car however it is locked.

Thanks Chaps,

Would your method of opening Steve (in an emergency) be good enough for IVA?

Cheers

I don't understand what IVA has to do with it.

I hope these "poppers" are more reliable than those used in a Cerbera.

I will stick with a good old fashioned button.
