Petrol prices falling?? 3ppl this week allready.

Yesterday my local Sainsbury's dropped the price of unleaded by 1p per litre. Today I noticed they had dropped it a further 2p. It's now at 130.9ppl. I find it hard to get excited by this but if it keeps going I just may do. Is the price of crude falling? Whats the deal. Just a blip or will it be 80p by the end of the week :-)

The detail of the Treasury's Budget Book spells out: 'The main fuel duty rate will increase by 3.02p per litre on 1 January 2012.' And there is another inflationary rise planned for next summer: 'The 2012-13 increase in fuel duty will be implemented on 1 August 2012.'

so, when prices come down what is the betting they will stick to these increases now? yup, they will go ahead. Then when oil goes up again it will go up to new highs.

when oil is high they had a 1p cut, remember? that was instead of a 4p ish increase. Now, they won't have to do that

Loads of the oil reserves have been released onto the market, hence the price per barrel has dropped. Evidently done to ease the problems experienced in Libya et al.

So probably a short term deal and wont continue dropping as this was a one off hit. Unless someone knows something i don't?

it was 137.9 where i live until recently now its down to 130.9 so 7p a litre in a few weeks aint bad going.

Around £1 a litre would be fair imo.

Tesco doing their 5ppl vouchers 27/6 to 17/7, so it'll partly be in response to this.

132.9 for months down my way, went down to 131.9. Whoopie do.

I got my trousers pulled down and royally tharshed in Norfolk last week after a visit to Snetterton. 1.48.9 for super unleaded ( 97 octane) at the BP 3 miles from the circuit................Half a tank was £48 in my focus................ Filled up in Reading the wednesday before at Shell at 1.42.9 for V Power................Sadly my modded Focus ST likes the Dom Perignon to run happily..........

Sainsbury's apparently doing a 10p off per litre voucher with a £60 shop, according to moneysavingexpert.com emails.

121.9 per litre of unleaded seemed like a pipe dream this time a month ago!!!!

I'm watching the heating oil price at the moment, my last fill up was July 2010 at 43.2ppl at todays price its at 56ppl. With 2000lt to order it makes quite a difference for each reduction.

Our bd Shell garage went from 136.9p to 133.9p, then suddenly up to 135.9p the next day.
