Hi guys, I have to drive to Brockenhurst on friday afternoon/early evening from High Wycombe and rather then getting stuck in rush hour traffic on the motorway does anyone know of any fun routes.

Had a nice drive down to Romsey at the weekend. Left the M3 at J8 and onto A303 (fast dual carriageway) towards Andover. Then onto A30 towards Stockbridge. Dead straight single track but big undulations and nice views - must be an old Roman road. Then onto A3057 towards Romsey - single track through countryside. If you follow this into Romsey then I think you can get another A road to Brockenhurst.

thanks for that! really enjoyed that route, the A3057 is just what I was looking for :-)

Just set your sat nav to the "shortest route" bound to take you through narrow one vehicle lanes etc.

Saw this post too late for the OP, but this is my route of choice from High Wycombe to the New Forest if I'm in scenic route mode.
